The Social Democratic Party (PSD) – Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) coalition will sign with the national minorities’ representatives a parliamentary collaboration protocol, ALDE co-chairman and Senate President Calin Popescu-Tariceanu announced on Tuesday evening.
„The protocol will establish the collaboration framework between the parliamentary majority and minorities, on the one hand, and the manner in which the minorities grant parliamentary support so that our legislative initiatives and the Government’s initiatives be adopted in the best conditions in Parliament. (…) The minorities’ group voiced its availability to support the Government’s investiture and we agreed that during the parliamentary recess we draw up together a collaboration protocol meant to establish the framework of the political action during the current legislature,” Tariceanu said at the end of the discussions at the Palace of Parliament between PSD, ALDE and national minorities leaders.
In respect to the minorities’ representation in the future Cabinet, Tariceanu showed that there already is a certain representation and it will be maintained.
